Restaurant/Bar Team Member
As we prepare for reopening following lockdown The Lapstone is currently looking for various front of house positions to join their team.
If you are able to deliver a consistently high level of customer service, have high standards of personal presentation, an ability to work under pressure and as part of a team then we want to hear from you!
You must be highly motivated and have great customer service skills, as well as demonstrating a genuine passion for the food and beverage industry and local community.
The main purpose of this job role is to look after our guests and deliver a high level of service in a friendly manner. If you have knowledge of cocktails and wines then this is a definite bonus, what we want most is a willingness to learn and make a difference to your community.
Previous experience in a bar, café or restaurant is desirable however a positive attitude and an even greater personality is much more important.
With a variety of shift patterns available and we have hours to suit all. Please be aware evening and weekend working will be required.

Kitchen Assistant
We have a great opportunity for a key role as Kitchen Assistant to join our team. Our Kitchen Assistant will need to be well organised and be able to work fast to keep everything clean and ready for service.
Your day to day duties may involve, unloading and putting away stock correctly, keeping the kitchen clean, emptying bins, sweeping and mopping floors.
The kitchen assistant will make sure all the equipment is put away correctly, washing up is done in a timely manner and support is provided throughout the kitchen where needed. A good command of the English language is essential.
There is the opportunity for the right candidate to be involved with supporting the chefs with lighter duties including food preparation and food hygiene procedures in time.

We are looking to expand and support our skilled kitchen team and are therefore looking for Chefs of all Levels who enjoy using local ingredients and coming up with vibrant new dishes. If this is you, we would love to hear from you.
Our ideal person will have previous culinary experience of working in a fast paced environment, a passion for using local produce and creating exciting combinations.
